Scale
Here’s what you’ll need to whip up these tasty roll ups. Feel free to make some substitutions if you have different preferences or dietary needs.
- 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak or your preferred cut of beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 8 large slices of deli-style roast beef (as the roll-up wrap)
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
Substitution Suggestions:
- If you’re not a fan of mushrooms, try zucchini slices for added texture.
- Swap provolone with mozzarella for a milder taste.
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to create a meal that tastes like you’ve spent hours in the kitchen, when really, it’s ready in less than half an hour.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms, and sauté until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season the vegetables with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 4-5 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Lay out the roast beef slices on a flat surface. Spread a small amount of cream cheese on each slice.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the cream cheese. Add a few spoonfuls of the steak and vegetable mixture.
- Carefully roll up each slice, securing with a toothpick if necessary, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
