Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
If you’re looking to switch things up, you can substitute blue cheese dressing for ranch or use Monterey Jack cheese for a milder flavor. I love how flexible this recipe is—perfect for adapting to whatever you have on hand.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. As you do, take a moment to imagine the comforting aroma that will soon fill your kitchen.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, cream cheese, and 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined. I find using my hands here brings me back to the roots of cooking—messy but satisfying!
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top for that irresistible bubbly finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden. The moment you see those bubbles, you know you’re in for a treat.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before topping with chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
